JESUS SAID TO THEM, “TAKE OFF THE GRAVE CLOTHES AND LET HIM GO"
Then Jesus shouted, Lazarus, come out!
1.Hope in Jesus
But when Jesus heard about it he said, “Lazarus’s sickness will not end in death. No, it happened for the glory of God so that the Son of God will receive glory from this.(John 11:4)

Resurrection- Hope and Restoration
Resurrection as Hope
The resurrection assures believers that death is temporary. It shifts perspective from despair to confidence in God’s promises. Hope is not wishful thinking—it is anchored in Christ’s victory over the grave.
- Resurrection as Restoration
Restoration means God revives what was lost—whether broken lives, shattered dreams, or spiritual dryness. Just as Jesus restored life to Lazarus, He restores us from sin, despair, and hopelessness.
- Resurrection as Transformation
It is not only about the future resurrection of the body but also about present transformation. Believers are called to live renewed lives, empowered by the Spirit, reflecting God’s restoration in daily living.
Practical Takeaways
- Faith in Christ brings assurance: Resurrection is not abstract—it is personal. Believers can face trials with confidence knowing eternal life awaits.
- Restoration begins now: God restores brokenness in relationships, health, and spirit, even before the final resurrection.
- Hope sustains perseverance: Resurrection hope strengthens believers to endure suffering, knowing God’s plan is greater than present pain.
Note:- Anyone who believes in me will live, even after dying. (He is talking about Eternal life forever living with God)
When Mary arrived and saw Jesus, she fell at his feet and said, “Lord, if only you had been here, my brother would not have died.” When Jesus saw her weeping and saw the other people wailing with her, a deep anger welled up within him, and he was deeply troubled. Where have you put him?” he asked them. They told him, “Lord, come and see.(John 11:32-34)
2.Life Giver (Jesus Christ is Life)

John 11:25–26 – Jesus as the Resurrection
- Verse: “I am the resurrection and the life. The one who believes in me will live, even though they die.”

Romans 8:11 – The Spirit Gives Life
- Verse: “The Spirit of him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you.”

- Application: God’s Spirit can revive your faith, courage, and strength when you feel powerless.
How This Applies to “Dead Situations”
- Hopelessness → Hope: God specializes in turning despair into testimony.
- Brokenness → Restoration: Just as dry bones lived again, broken lives can be healed.
- Finality → New Beginnings: What looks like the end can become the start of something greater with God’s intervention.
Note:- He bends but it never breaks
3.Grave (grave clothes -Dryness Problems,Sickness,challenges)
Roll the stone aside,Jesus told them. But Martha, the dead man’s sister, protested, “Lord, he has been dead for four days. The smell will be terrible.” So they rolled the stone aside. Then Jesus looked up to heaven and said, “Father, thank you for hearing me. You always hear me, but I said it out loud for the sake of all these people standing here, so that they will believe you sent me.Then Jesus shouted, “Lazarus, come out!” And the dead man came out, his hands and feet bound in grave clothes, his face wrapped in a headcloth. Jesus told them, Unwrap him and let him go
(John 11:39, 41-44)
Rolling - Roll the stone aside
(Turns Bondages into Blessings)
Stones-(Dryness Problems,Sickness,challenges)
Turning Dryness, Sickness, and Challenges into Blessings
- Dryness (spiritual emptiness) → God brings living water (John 7:38). Stones of dryness become wells of renewal.
- Sickness → Jesus heals and uses weakness to display His strength (2 Corinthians 12:9). Stones of sickness become testimonies of healing or endurance.
- Challenges → Trials refine faith like stones polished by pressure (James 1:2-4). Obstacles become opportunities for growth.
