HOLYSPIRIT
SPIRIT OF GOD
The Holy Spirit in Greek is «Πνεῦμα Ἅγιον» (Pneuma Hagion). Pneuma means "spirit," "breath," or "wind," while Hagion means "holy". It frequently appears in the New Testament as to Pneuma to Hagion ("the Spirit the Holy") to denote the third person of the Trinity.
Key details regarding the Greek term:
Transliteration: Pneuma Hagion
Pronunciation: PNYOO-mah HAH-gee-on
Components: Pneuma (πνεῦμα - spirit/breath) + Hagios (ἅγιος - holy)
Alternative Name: The Holy Spirit is also referred to as the Paraclete (ὁ Παράκλητος, ho Paraklētos), meaning "helper" or "comforter," in John 14:26
Usage: The term appears 89 times in the New Testament.
The study of the Holy Spirit is known as pneumatology, derived from pneuma (spirit) and logos (word/study).
Note:-
- Presence of God: The Spirit is not an impersonal force but a divine Person who dwells within believers.
- Guide and Teacher: He illuminates Scripture, convicts of sin, and leads into truth.
- Empowerer: In Acts, the Spirit empowers the apostles to preach boldly and perform miracles.
- Comforter: Jesus calls Him the Paraclete (John 14:26)—the One who comes alongside to strengthen and console.
Biblical Foundations
- Old Testament: The Spirit is seen as the breath of God (Genesis 1:2), empowering prophets and kings.
- New Testament: At Jesus’ baptism, the Spirit descends like a dove, affirming His mission. At Pentecost, the Spirit fills the disciples, birthing the Church.
- Paul’s Letters: The Spirit is the seal of salvation (Ephesians 1:13) and the giver of spiritual gifts (1 Corinthians 12).
- Relational: The Spirit binds believers into communion with the Father and Son.
- Transformational: Through sanctification, the Spirit reshapes believers into Christ’s likeness.
- Missional: The Spirit equips the Church to witness, extending God’s kingdom on earth.
Here’s how believers can live out awareness of the Spirit:
- Daily Surrender: Invite the Spirit to guide decisions and attitudes.
- Scripture Meditation: Ask the Spirit to illuminate meaning and application.
- Prayer: Pray “in the Spirit” (Ephesians 6:18), allowing Him to intercede when words fail.
- Community: Recognize the Spirit’s gifts in others, fostering unity and service.
The Holy Spirit is the living presence of God within us, making the Trinity not just a doctrine to be studied but a reality to be experienced.
Holy spirit in trinity
The Trinity Defined
- One God, Three Persons: Christianity teaches that God exists eternally as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit—distinct persons, yet one essence.
- Co-equal and Co-eternal: None is greater or lesser; all share the same divine nature.
- Biblical Roots: While the word Trinity isn’t in Scripture, passages like Matthew 28:19 (“baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit”) and 2 Corinthians 13:14 show the three persons working together.
The Role of the Holy Spirit
- Presence of God: The Spirit is not an impersonal force but a divine person who indwells believers.
- Revealer of Truth: He illuminates Scripture, guiding believers into understanding (John 16:13).
- Empowerer: The Spirit equips Christians with gifts for service and strengthens them in weakness.
- Sanctifier: He transforms believers into Christ’s likeness, producing fruit such as love, joy, and peace (Galatians 5:22–23).
The mystery of the Spirit in the Trinity invites humility. He is both the breath of God that animates creation and the intimate companion who dwells within believers. To neglect Him is to miss the living presence of God in daily life; to embrace Him is to walk in divine power and renewal.
RECEVING HOLYSPIRIT
Acts 2:38 And Peter said to them, “Repent and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins, and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.

FILLING IN HOLYSPIRIT
He will fill and bear
Inside fruits - Gifts outside
Note:- But Gifts is not for the personal use but for the Jesus Mission
Matthew 3:11,12
11 I indeed baptize you with water unto repentance, but He who is
coming after me is mightier than I, whose sandals I am not worthy to
carry. He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit and fire.
12 His winnowing fan is in His hand, and He will thoroughly clean out
His threshing floor, and gather His wheat into the barn; but He will
burn up the chaff with unquenchable fire.”
Please note that the Greek word for “with” is “en,” a primary
preposition that can be translated “in,” “by,” “with,” “of,” “for,”
etc. So, we use the terms “baptism with the Holy Spirit” and
“baptism in the Holy Spirit” interchangeably.
John the Baptist announced that the Lord Jesus would
baptize with the Holy Spirit and fire. The “fire,” as John
describes, is to “burn up the chaff.” The chaff is used to represent
what is ungodly (Psalm 1:4; Psalm 35:5), and what is of the
flesh (Jeremiah 23:28). In the life of the believer, the fire burns
up the chaff, burns up what is not of God and what is ungodly.
What John the Baptist points to also refers to the final, eternal
judgment of the ungodly (Revelation 20:10,15). So, “fire” has a
dual reference, both of the cleansing work done in the life of the
believer and of the eternal judgment of the ungodly.
Indwelling and baptism—What’s the difference?
When one believes in the Lord Jesus Christ, one is born again.
We are born of the Spirit. As Galatians 4:6 states, “And because
you are sons, God has sent forth the Spirit of His Son into your
hearts, crying out, “Abba, Father!” We are already a temple of
the Holy Spirit and the Spirit of God indwells (dwells within)
us. So then, why does a believer need to be prayed for to receive
the baptism of the Holy Spirit? Some present their argument like
this—“The Holy Spirit does not come in parts because He is a
Person. So, if you have Him, you have all of Him.”
While there are similarities between the spiritual and
natural, there are also differences. Spiritual things are often
different from the way how we see things in the natural. It is
true that in the natural, when you see a person physically, you
see the person entirely. It is not that the person has left a part
of himself physically at some other place. However, there is a
huge difference when we consider the Person of the Holy Spirit.
The Holy Spirit is a Person, but unlike us, He is infinite. He can
come and keep on coming because He is infinite. We can have
“more” of Him because He is infinite and there is no end to how
much we can experience Him in our lives.
John 7:37-39(Rivers of Living Water)
37 On the last day of the feast, the great day, Jesus stood up and cried out, “If anyone thirsts, let him come to me and drink. 38 Whoever believes in me, as the Scripture has said, ‘Out of his heart will flow rivers of living water.’” 39 Now this he said about the Spirit, whom those who believed in him were to receive, for as yet the Spirit had not been given, because Jesus was not yet glorified.
Note:- Scripture and Spirit of God will cleanses from all sinful and worldly things
(Inside and out)
1 Corinthians 6:19 Or do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit within you, whom you have from God? You are not your own
Note:- Body came from mud but Spirit came from God, So god wants to uses our Spirit, So Spirit is very powerful

Fruits (Inner life)
HOLYSPIRIT GIFTS (Outward life)
Note:- 1Corinthians 12:11
11 All these are the work of one and the same Spirit, and he distributes them to each one, just as he determines.
1 Corinthians 12 Deep explanations
Jeremiah 23:21: The Lord states, "I have not sent these prophets, yet they ran: I have not spoken to them, yet they prophesied".
Jeremiah 27:15: The Lord reiterates, "For I have not sent them... yet they prophesy a lie in my name; that I might drive you out".
Note:- I have seen some true prophets they buillded families spiritual and doing corrections about sinful things in their life.
Holyspirit Ministry (God's covenant to fulfill Great commision)
Acts 1:8 But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.”
Acts 2:2-21
The Holy Spirit Comes at Pentecost
2 When the day of Pentecost came, they were all together in one place. 2 Suddenly a sound like the blowing of a violent wind came from heaven and filled the whole house where they were sitting. 3 They saw what seemed to be tongues of fire that separated and came to rest on each of them. 4 All of them were filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak in other tongues[a] as the Spirit enabled them.
5 Now there were staying in Jerusalem God-fearing Jews from every nation under heaven. 6 When they heard this sound, a crowd came together in bewilderment, because each one heard their own language being spoken. 7 Utterly amazed, they asked: “Aren’t all these who are speaking Galileans? 8 Then how is it that each of us hears them in our native language? 9 Parthians, Medes and Elamites; residents of Mesopotamia, Judea and Cappadocia, Pontus and Asia,[b] 10 Phrygia and Pamphylia, Egypt and the parts of Libya near Cyrene; visitors from Rome 11 (both Jews and converts to Judaism); Cretans and Arabs—we hear them declaring the wonders of God in our own tongues!” 12 Amazed and perplexed, they asked one another, “What does this mean?”
13 Some, however, made fun of them and said, “They have had too much wine.”
Peter Addresses the Crowd
14 Then Peter stood up with the Eleven, raised his voice and addressed the crowd: “Fellow Jews and all of you who live in Jerusalem, let me explain this to you; listen carefully to what I say. 15 These people are not drunk, as you suppose. It’s only nine in the morning! 16 No, this is what was spoken by the prophet Joel:
17 “‘In the last days, God says,
I will pour out my Spirit on all people.
Your sons and daughters will prophesy,
your young men will see visions,
your old men will dream dreams.
18 Even on my servants, both men and women,
I will pour out my Spirit in those days,
and they will prophesy.
19 I will show wonders in the heavens above
and signs on the earth below,
blood and fire and billows of smoke.
20 The sun will be turned to darkness
and the moon to blood
before the coming of the great and glorious day of the Lord.
21 And everyone who calls
on the name of the Lord will be saved.
