HOW TO HEAR GOD'S VOICE ???

GOD'S VOICE

The most basic foundation is that God speaks to man through his own conscience. This is the mechanism God is using to communicate with man whether he is saved or unsaved, from any religious background, culture, etc. This has been the way since the fall of man. This is the same mechanism that helps us to choose between right and wrong. This is not a perfect way because what seems right to one might seem like it is wrong to another. This is because of cultural influence and the difference in formation of each of our belief systems, religious background, value systems, etc. When we refer to a person without a conscience, we refer to someone who is unscrupulous and not ashamed to do wrong deeds.

The most common & effective way that God speaks to man is through His Word. This happens when we personally sit down to read the Bible. God continues to talk to us through His Word. There are 2 parts to the Bible, Old and New Testament.

God speaks to us directly in many ways. Through our thoughts, through an audible voice, through visions and dreams

Today we are looking at the 4th way - God speaks through His Holy Spirit.

1 Corinthians 2:10-11 says (10) these are the things God has revealed to us by his Spirit. The Spirit searches all things, even the deep things of God. (11) For who knows a person’s thoughts except their own spirit within them? In the same way no one knows the thoughts of God except the Spirit of God.

The Spirit searches all things. The greatest search engine is not Google, rather it is the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit is the eyes of the Lord like a CCTV camera.

1.Who obeys God's word they can hear God's voice

1.Obedience is the posture of the heart. Hearing God’s voice isn’t just about mystical experiences; it’s about aligning our will with His Word.

2.God’s Word is His primary voice. Scripture is the clearest way God speaks. When we obey it, we tune our spiritual ears to recognize His Spirit’s whispers.

3.Disobedience dulls hearing. Sin and rebellion create “static” that makes God’s voice harder to discern (see Isaiah 59:2).

4.Obedience sharpens discernment. Each act of surrender makes us more sensitive to His guidance, like training our ears to a familiar tone.

John 14:23 – “If anyone loves me, he will keep my word, and my Father will love him, and we will come to him and make our home with him.”

Note:- Obedience is proof of love. When we obey, God dwells with us, making His voice clearer.

John 10:27 – “My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me.”

Hearing God’s voice is the mark of belonging to Him. Following (obedience) is inseparable from hearing.

Note:- Correction will take place in life when we are applying word of God

2.Who is on the Mission and ministry of Jesus Christ they can listen God's voice

Note:- GOD DON'T TALK TO US ON USELESS THINGS

Matthew 6:33

But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you.

Daily choices should reflect God’s will before career, wealth, or comfort

Living as “citizens of heaven” now, shaping values, ethics, and relationships

Choosing integrity, compassion, and obedience over self-centered gain

Trusting God’s care removes fear-driven striving.

Note:-

1.Deny yourself

2.Take up your own cross and follow me

3.Your heart should be turned into Stone (Boldness)

4.Don’t compare your calling with others

3.Who are on wrong path to bring on God's path they will listen God's voice

1.Who Are on the Wrong Path?
The Bible describes those on the wrong path as:
- The lost – “For the Son of Man came to seek and to save the lost.” (Luke 19:10)
- The disobedient – “All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned—every one—to his own way.” (Isaiah 53:6)
- The hardened in sin – “They are darkened in their understanding, alienated from the life of God because of the ignorance that is in them, due to their hardness of heart.” (Ephesians 4:18)

2.How They Can Hear God’s Voice
God’s voice reaches people in several ways:
- Through Scripture – “Faith comes from hearing, and hearing through the word of Christ.” (Romans 10:17)
- Through the Spirit – “My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me.” (John 10:27)
- Through conviction – “When He [the Spirit] comes, He will convict the world concerning sin and righteousness and judgment.” (John 16:8)
